South Benson Outfitters, located on the western side of Ash Creek in Fairfield’s South Benson Marina, is committed to providing the highest quality of service and goods to help you enjoy your outdoor recreation time to its fullest.  We are easily accessible by car from I-95 (exit 23) and Rt 1 or by boat; our gas dock is only a 100 yds from the open waters of Long Island Sound.

Surrounded by some of the finest fishing, boating, beaches and nature areas in SW Connecticut, South Benson Outfitters is a great starting point to such areas as Penfield Reef, Jennings Beach, Sherwood Island State Park, Ash Creek Open Space Preserve, Black Rock Harbor, Southport Harbor and CT’s premier skatepark. 

The "Shack" is well-stocked with all your favorite snacks, drinks, ice cream, fishing tackle - including Eric Peterson flies, live and frozen bait, ice and 93 octane gas.  Guided fishing trips, casting and fly tying lessons are also available.

Fishing is much more than casting and reeling and playing with your catch.  It's the wind in your face, and the sound of the wakening birds as the sun peeks over the horizon.  It's discovering the magic in each new place and unlocking the mysteries that lurk there.
